First time back to dave and buster’s after years + Nezha 2

it’s been a while but we finally got a chance to go to Dave and Buster’s and watch the new movie Nezha 2. It’s been a couple months since I’ve had time to hang out with my family, so it’s nice to do something for him. I have gone to Chuck E Cheese, but Dave and Buster’s game’s are significantly harder. And it costs more, but the prizes are more value so its a fair tradeoff. Realistically I will never even come close to my preferred prize of a PS5, but it was pretty fun to play the larger variety of games regardless. Also it may have been the first time my sister managed to get more tickets than me. It wasn’t until the last hour or so that we discovered the fish game, which earned us way more tickets than any other game, although the jellyfish took forever to spawn. Now for the Nezha Rant. Ne zha is a Chinese myth, and his story is pretty familiar to anyone who grew up in China, but I didn’t so it felt like I was thrown in a universe I had no business being in. The animations of the movie where nice, and the comedy was pretty funny but because I don’t understand some of Chinese culture I did have a little bit of trouble understanding some of it. It did get me thinking that there is a big possibility for a potential movie series or video games exploring more chinese culture and myths. Ne zha’s story is only one small piece of a much larger story spanning hundreds of years, and with Black Myth Wukong making waves in the western Gaming sphere, I believe we are ready to see some more stuff about Chinese myths and culture be explored by the west. Anyways, 10/10 day, maybe 7.5 / 10 movie and 8.5 / 10 Dave and Buster’s experience (we decided to not spend our points.)
